The Gold and Green Crowd is packed full of benefits and experiences to ensure that this venture into racehorse ownership is fun and rewarding.
Having a connection with a string of horses, and their trainers adds an extra dimension to how you enjoy this fantastic sport and we are delighted to offer a superb experience for just £250 per year!
The Crowd Racing string is built of an excellent range of racehorses; two young fillies, a lightly raced mare and a couple of older horses with plenty improvement to still come.
The Detainee has a lot more to come over hurdles and Born To Finish will win plenty more races on the flat. The younger horses and the mare have obvious improvement to come, which will see them go on and win their races too. There is definitely something for everyone.
Not just five horses to follow, but you also get four trainers too. Ed De Giles in Herefordshire, Daniel Kubler in Lambourn, Berkshire, Neil Mulholland is in the West Country, near Bath and Lucy Normile is near Perth, in Scotland. Sandy Thomson has just been added to the team, and Sandy is based in the Scottish Borders. We are also working with William Knight, based near Goodwood on adding more horses to the string.
These are six lovely racehorses and five excellent trainers, and there is so much more on the way.
Being involved in racehorse ownership is undoubtedly exciting and thrilling; experiencing the ups and the downs as the horses are prepared for their races is only surpassed by the tension on race-day. The elation of a good run is something to embrace and the GOLD AND GREEN CROWD is an excellent way to have an instant stable of horses for you to follow for a very affordable cost.
The added experience of the events, competitions, newsletters and of course, your pin badge is enhanced by involved in a Crowd full of cracking people. We have some lovely and interesting people involved in our Crowds, and they would all like to join me in welcoming you on board!

GOLD AND GREEN CROWD - HORSES AND TRAINERS
BORN TO FINISH - ED DE GILES
Born To Finish has been with Crowd Racing since April 2015, and started his racing career with us at Jeremy Gask's stable in Sutton Veny. After 13 races without a win, and a gelding operation followed by a wind operation, BTF won his first race for us on 31st December 2016 at Lingfield under Martin Lane. A cracking run of 4 wins and 3rd place from 5 runs in a 6week period followed and he was raised 22lbs in the handicap! Once Jeremy headed back to his native Australia, Born To Finish was moved to Jamie Osborne and has now won 7 races in total, with a further 14 placed efforts from a total of 45 races. In March 2019, BTF headed to a new home in Herefordshire with Ed De Giles. Ed is an excellent young trainer and has done very well with a number of trainers of similar profile to BTF. Born To Finish is a brave and consistent sprinter, who does have much better record on the All-Weather but is proven to be able to win on the turf and will be better on the grass in 2019. With a rating of 80 on the All-Weather, the obvious aim for BTF is to notch another couple of wins and aim for the AW Championships at Lingfield on Good Friday. His sire, Dark Angel, has a great record of producing horses that get better as they get older, so we are very confident that we haven't reached the bottom of what BTF can achieve for us.
THE DETAINEE - NEIL MULHOLLAND
The Detainee has been with Crowd Racing since late 2014, and was another horse that started his racing career with Jeremy Gask. A huge horse even from a very early stage, he took a little bit of time to work out and get fit, and he needed time to grow into himself and mature. He was gelded in November 2015, and only had 11 races before May 2017 which earned him 3 placed efforts. When Jeremy shipped out, we moved The Detainee to Neil Mulholland and Neil found the key to TD pretty quickly and was able to build on all the patience and good work done by Jeremy. He won his first two races after the move as well as 2 more placed efforts in a 3 month, 5 race spell. He has also now made his debut over hurdles, and it is over hurdles that Neil feels his future lies. His jumping hasn't been as fluent as it needs to be, but he has had a break at the back end of 2018 and Neil feels his jumping is improving a lot and TD is looking bigger and stronger than ever. His career stats now stand at 3 wins and 9 places from just 25 races, and there is so much more to come from a horse that is a firm favourite with his owners. The Detainee is due to run at Exeter before the end of MarchELF DE RE - SANDY THOMSON
Trained by Sandy Thomson in the beautiful Scottish Borders near to Kelso, Elf De Re made his debut recently at Kelso racecourse and ran an excellent and very encouraging race. A lovely looking 5yr old gelding, Elf has a lot of potential and is from the same family as a Grand National winner. His future will definitely be over further than 2 miles, and over jumps but he will be back on the racecourse before the end of March, possibly at Newcastle or maybe Carlisle. Sandy is one of the best trainers in Scotland and will be a leading UK trainer in no time. He has an excellent eye for a racehorse, and we are delighted to be working with Sandy and the team.
ARISHKA - DAN KUBLER
Arishka made her debut for Crowd Racing in April 2018 as a 2yr old. A beautiful looking filly, owned in partnership with the cracking folk of the Diskovery Partnership and trained by Dan Kubler, Arishka was named after her mother - Symbol of Peace - In Hindi, Arishka means Goddess of Peace. She hasn't had a lot of luck to date, and has had only 7 races with one 2nd and one 3rd place. One of the runs was a write-off as she was bumped badly as she left the stalls and while her latest run was poor but she was found with mucus afterwards, but the other 5 all showed real signs of ability and plenty to be optimistic about the future. She is from a very good family and shows more than enough at home to know she will win races from her current mark. We expect to see her back on the racecourse in the middle of March.
GENUINELY CROWDED - LUCY NORMILE
Originally trained by Jamie Osborne for Crowd Racing, Genuinely Crowded became a little disappointing and just wasn't enjoying her racing. We moved her to Lucy Normile's stable to see if the change in regime and environment did the trick and Lucy has given Nellie a nice long break and she seems to be thriving for it. There did seem to be some minor issues around her front leg joints, but nothing serious but possibly enough for her to have been feeling it while racing, Lucy's vet feels this is behind her apparent lack of enthusiasm for racing, and the break will have benefitted her greatly. We will know soon enough just how good Nellie can become, she is very nicely bred and Jamie thought a lot of her before her issues.
