YOU CAN BECOME PART OF AN EXCITING NEW RACEHORSE OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Crowd Racing is launching the London Knight Crowd to bring the racehorse ownership experience to the heart of London.
The London Knight Crowd are offering a range of ownership options to allow anyone to get involved, whatever their budget.
The combination of racing and social events will provide a unique experience for owners, alongside stable visits and race days to meet the horses and the team behind the scenes.
Top class racecourses including Newbury, Sandown, Kempton Park and York all host races that would be perfect for the London Knight Crowd horses. City workers may not have the time to visit the stables, so we will be bringing as much of the experience into London as we possibly can!
Our trainer William and his bloodstock expert, brother Richard Knight are exceptional at what they do. William has trained winners at Group2, Group3, and listed level, and Richard has a fabulous track record at sourcing racehorses for all levels of the sport. It is a real asset to have them both on board.
The London Knight Crowd will be an exciting and engrossing experience for novice racehorse fans as well as hardened veterans. Our smaller crowds have seen many friendships and fruitful business connections grow from the common interest of owning a racehorse and we fully expect that to be magnified with the larger numbers involved here.
This is a genuine and rare chance to be involved with racehorses who will be heading towards prestigious races at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood. There are never any guarantees when it comes to horse racing, but we will be buying the right horses and have the best team working with them to help us achieve our aims.
TWO QUALITY RACEHORSES, AMBITIOUS PLANS!
Richard Knight will be tasked with finding the horses we need to make the dreams of this Crowd become a reality.
Races at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood will be the target of the London Knight Crowd, so the horses need to be picked very carefully and Richard has proved he can do that.
There are a number of races at both of those meetings, that are a little unrealistic as you are looking at six-figure purchases to have a chance of victory, and even then there is no real guarantee of finding a horse of that calibre. We will be looking at the level just below the very, very top which is very realistic and also has the possible upside of finding a horse who just happens to be good enough to aim even higher.
As with our Tartan Crowd horses, the beauty of purchasing horses to be aimed at these races like these, is that there are a lot of opportunities for them in other prestigious races while on the journey.
Top class race courses including Newbury, Sandown, Kempton Park and York all host races that would be perfect for the London Knight Crowd horses.
A SUPERB TRAINER, A TOP DRAWER BLOODSTOCK AGENT AND A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION
William Knight will be the day-to-day trainer for the London Knight Crowd.
Since starting out on his own in 2006, William has built up a professional and successful operation at Lower Coombe Stables in West Sussex’s historic Angmering Park. He has trained over 270 winners - including successes at Group 2, Group 3 and Listed level.
William, an honours graduate in Equine Business Management at the Royal Agricultural College , Cirencester, has certainly got ticks in all the right boxes as far as doing the job to a high standard is concerned. He honed his horsemanship skills either side of the Millennium, performing key roles as assistant trainer to leading handlers John Hills and Ed Dunlop. With the latter, he spent five informative years, playing an integral part in the international successes of such names as champion filly Ouija Board, multiple Group 1 winner Lailani, Independence and other top-class horses. The experience wasn’t wasted on him and this enthusiastic and talented trainer is now making an impact in his own right.
William's brother Richard Knight will be working with us to buy the racehorses required to make the aims of this Crowd a reality.
Richard is a successful thoroughbred bloodstock agent & Racing Manager and is responsible for the purchase of Group 1 winners The Wow Signal & Garswood.
Prior to setting up as a bloodstock agent in 2012 Richard spent 12 years working for world leading bloodstock organisations including Coolmore, Darley and Juddmonte where he gained fantastic all-round experience. That experience has been key to Richard’s success and in a short space of time he has purchased a number of high-class racehorses at all ages. The Wow Signal was purchased privately by Richard on behalf of Al Shaqab Racing after he won his maiden on debut. On his next start he won the Coventry Stakes, Gr.2 at Royal Ascot and then went on to win the Prix Morny, Gr.1 – France’s most prestigious 2-year-old race. Injury curtailed The Wow Signal’s 3-year-old racing career and he retired to stand as a stallion.
BRILLIANT SOCIAL EVENTS IN LONDON AND OUT
We will be hosting bi-monthly exclusive events in London, in a private bar or restaurant where there will be ample opportunity to mingle and meet your fellow Crowd members.
Investors will hear from the Knight brothers and ask as many questions as they wish, both before the horses are bought and afterwards. Each event will have a special guest speaker, from the racing world and while the events will be relatively informal with the emphasis on fun, they will be very informative.
There will also be two major events at the stables, as well as a further two at racecourses close to London.
All in all, in addition to the buzz of being involved in racehorse ownership, anyone joining this Crowd will have plenty going on around them to keep them entertained and engaged!
ALWAYS KEPT IN THE LOOP
Taking these two racehorses on this journey with the London Knight Crowd will be thrilling, and could well have lows as well as highs.
To make this work well for the members of the Crowd, regular and quality information is vital so video, WhatsApp, newsletters and audio messages will be used to keep you informed. Pictures of the horses and updates on plans and progress will be issued as often as possible, and all the owners will be made to feel that they are right at the centre of this exciting experience.
